Where did we all get it I wonder? Every single one of his class mates had it about a month prior and he didnt. Turns out he didnt even realize he had it because it cleared up so quick. Because I was not going to project fear upon him. Did I wear a mask in the house with my son who had it? No. Then I finally got a positive test in February of 2022 after residing with two people with covid. I got quarantined five separate times after because of exposures. The first time before it was ever supposed to be here but it was marketed suddenly after a certain political action failed. You are either an idiot for believing covid is anything other than a cold or in such bad health that you are afraid of getting it. we only wield limitless power inside the talking track rooms. if it becomes overwhelming, or there is an intentional rush, i’d assume there would be backup calls and a shift in measures to maintain policy. but people should be getting told in numerous ways, numerous times, that masks and badges are required (assuming the mask policy happens). if thousands (or hundreds, or maybe dozens) of ppl rushed through with no masks, it’d probably be an issue. yes, they were/are fairly wide hallways, with lots of people moving through at times, but i would assume the security goons would set up a way to enforce checking masks at entry as much as badges. so to get to the villages, you had to pass the entry points. I’m not familiar with how the new spaces this year are being in/out controlled, but at paris and ballys for dc29 there was only one entry point for each con space (that i recall). Thank you for all you did to protect each other last year, and with your help we’ll do it again this year. Everyone includes the healthy, the vulnerable and those who have immune compromised loved ones they need to protect. Protecting the community is our first priority, and we want to make sure that everyone is as safe as we can make them. Masks are still the most effective way to protect people in indoor events.īarring a major change in the situation, we will not check proof of vaccination, but we will keep last year's mask requirement in place for DEF CON 30. There are still spikes in transmission and hospitalization. There are still new variants on the move. COVID-19 testing is now mostly done privately with widely available at-home kits.īut most things haven’t changed. The US has largely stopped checking vaccine status for entry to indoor events, owing at least partly to the knowledge that the vaccines serve more to prevent severe disease than to curtail transmission. DEF CON 30 is getting closer, and that means we’re starting to get questions about Covid-19 protocols for the in-person event.
